About

Hello.  Thanks for visiting Krishna’s Russian Watch Blog. This is a small blog I quickly made to share a few pictures and information about my growing collection of Russian watches. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Krishna.

  • Hey are you staying in Russia or India? I am in India and wondering if its safe to order online to be delivered in India. In case of trouble it will mean a lot of difficulty getting a replacement I guess, that’s why. Thanks

  • Hi, I live in the UK. Why don’t you post a question here – http://forums.watchuseek.com/f10/ – the guy from Meranom reads the forums, he’ll probably answer you. I suspect it might be difficult if something goes wrong, but I reckon anyone that can fix an HMT watch in India will be able to fix a Russian watch. You can easily get spare parts online or Ebay. I hope this helps.

  • Hey Krishna,
first, this is a great blog, i enjoyed rading it and the photos were very helpful.
I’m considering purchasing the new Amphibia Model 670927 but i’m afraid it will be too large for my ~6 in. wrist. Till now i was considering only the 420 case but the dial in 670927 is very sexy. Do you have by any chance photos of both 670 and 420 cases so you could see the difference in size? If yes, i would appreciate it if you could share them.
    Have a nice day!
    Best,
    Hleb.

    • Hi Hleb,
Thanks for the comments. My wrist is 7 1/2 inches and I find the 420 a little too small for my liking. Here is a quick phone picture of the 670 vs. the 420. The 420 appears quite a bit smaller. Does that image work for you?

      670 vs 420

      • Dear Krishna,

thank you very much, that actually helped. Don’t want to bother you but if you could also do the wristshot of the 670 to see how it sits on the wrist it would be amazing. There are many photos of the 420 and as far as i can see it sits pretty snuggly. 670 seems to be more flat because of extra material and the octagonal form so i’m worried the lug-to-lug will be wider as my wrist.

        Cheers,
        Hleb.

  • Hi , I’m in india and looking forward to buy from meranom website. Any idea how much customs duty the indian customs will charge?

    • Hi, I am based in the UK. I am afraid I wouldn’t know about importing into India. Sorry. Maybe ask on Watchuseek F10 to see if there are any guys who are located in India and have bought from Meranom. Krishna.
